Who was Saint Joseph?
Saint Joseph was the earthly guardian of Jesus and the spouse of the Virgin Mary. A humble carpenter from Nazareth, he was chosen by God to protect and raise the Son of God. Though he never speaks in the Gospels, his actions demonstrate righteousness, obedience, and deep trust in God's plan.
Joseph played a critical role during pivotal events in Jesus' early life: the Nativity, the Flight into Egypt, and the Presentation in the Temple. His silent strength and faithful service made him a model of fatherhood and virtue.
